About Me

My Bio:

I fully believe that yoga is one of the best catalysts for positive change on this life-long journey, and I have definitely experienced this in my own life.  My intention is to combine my love and knowledge of yoga, counseling, education, self-care, and personal wellness in my interactions with clients.  My mission and passion in life is to help others create full, yet balanced and gracious lives.

I have a B.A. in Education and an M.Ed in Counseling.  I taught high school English for four years, and I am currently in my 6th year as a Professional School Counselor.  I am a certified ACE personal trainer, a certified AFAA group exercise instructor, and currently working on my 200 hr. RYT.  Yoga instructors who inspire and influence my yoga teaching philosophy and style include Bryan Kest, Beryl Bender Birch, Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, and Baron Baptiste.  I have been teaching group exercise classes for the past 13 years and yoga classes for the past 10 years, instructing over 1,200 hours of yoga classes.  Through my experiences instructing and feedback from students, I have seen first-hand that yoga practiced both on and off the mat can result in powerful healing and transformation! 

A little more about me:

*I have a wonderful husband of 5 and a half years, Jonathan, and an animal family of 2 cats, Zak and Zoey, and 2 dogs, Ziggy and Olivia. 

*When I'm not practicing or instructing yoga, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family & friends, walking in parks, mocha sipping while reading in coffee shops, blogging, knitting, watching HGTV, bookstore browsing, all things sparkly, continuously learning, growing, and savoring life one breath at a time!
